The Bubble Man

I went to Amsterdam earlier this year. Every morning I’d get up earlier than everyone else and go in search of delicious pastries for breakfast. Well that’s what I told everyone, and indeed I did return with fresh croissants, donuts or an interesting looking crusty loaf. But what I loved best of all was a bit of quiet time sitting by the canal with my sketchbook. This is where I saw the bubble man. Just walking along minding his own business with his backpack, spreading soapy spheres of joy.
