A Time for Togetherness

I did a small postcard-sized piece for Royal West Academy’s Secret Postcard Auction this year. I was really short of time, didn’t manage to get it photographed and regretted it so much that I decided to do another larger piece using the same title and a similar limited colour palate. The idea for the composition came from a beautiful photograph Innis took of my friend Rosie and I walking in Stanmer Park with her dog Pippi and my Betty. Such a lovely day.

• Mixed media original using oil pastel, ink and sgraffito on board
• Beautifully presented in a bespoke solid wood frame. Carefully chosen by Sam and Frame Factory Brighton, with a substantial profile for a ‘vintage modern’ feel. Stained in subtle shades of dark brown, lightly distressed, waxed and buffed to a soft sheen with antique gold fillet. Glazed using UltraVue which is a crystal clear, virtually invisible glass offering 70% UV protection
