You Deserve to Share the Love You Give to Everyone Else
This painting was inspired by a woman I met at a workshop many years ago and her face has always lingered in my memory. She was one of those people, like so many out there, who was a working mother with a busy husband. Instead of working 9-5 she worked 24/7. Looking after grandchildren, sick relatives and other people’s pets. Cooking, cleaning, keeping the home fires burning and always making time to bake special cakes for friends and family whatever the celebration. She had a terrible back problem and had brought along a massage roller which she struggled to use on herself so she offered to help anyone else in the group who experienced the occasional twinge. Speaking to her afterwards she confessed that her ‘whole family had fallen apart’ during her 5-day break at the workshop. This painting’s message is for all those people out there who give too much.
