More Than Words Can Say

True love. Mr Mustard and Doris dog looking at each other in silent communication. These two small figures are fixed atop a bronze box, but I have drawn them just like this, so many times. Such a dear little piece, it looks lovely from all angles and is especially nice captured in silhouette. I have mine on a small shelf with a tea light flickering behind, but it would be nice too on a bedside table. The bronze box is weighty but hollow, ideal for hiding little messages of love. For yourself, a partner or a dear friend passed over the rainbow bridge.

Hand waxed and with my favourite traditional patina which reminds me of the oldfashioned penny coins of my childhood. This piece was cast in three pieces then joined together. Very fiddly with the skinny legs and all… a little expensive but I think it was worth it? The cube has a lovely texture as it was cast from an old oak block.
